Job Purpose

The person in this position is accountable for assessing and delivering high-quality nursing care, primarily within a treatment room environment, to the practice’s population and the wider community, in collaboration with various partners.

This entails monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the care provided, often working alongside the District Nursing team, Primary Care Team, Unscheduled Care Service, and other relevant agencies involved in community healthcare.

Additionally, the postholder is responsible for promoting health and social wellbeing awareness, influencing the broader healthcare context, and empowering individuals to enhance their own health.

Working collaboratively, they also contribute to addressing health inequalities.

It’s important to note that the post requires the individual to have PVG Scheme membership or record.

If the applicant is not currently a PVG member for the relevant regulatory group (e.g., child and/or adult), they must apply to Disclosure Scotland and receive satisfactory clearance before commencing the role.
