Purpose of the Job/About the Role
As an Academy Admiral Nurse, your primary role will be to provide clinical expertise on dementia to support the Academy team and others within the clinical directorate.
By doing so, you’ll contribute to the growth and development of Admiral Nurses, aiming to increase their numbers.
Working alongside Admiral Nurse Leads, you’ll be involved in various activities within the Academy, promoting independent learning and professional growth for Admiral Nurses.
As a Registered Nurse, you’ll have the chance to explore different areas of the Academy, ensuring your own continued development.
Your key responsibilities will involve facilitating sustainable learning programs to offer high-quality support to families facing dementia.
You’ll offer your expertise and practical guidance to Admiral Nurses, empowering them to advance in their professional journey.
An essential aspect of your role will be to demonstrate your understanding of Practice Development processes, collaborating with other teams at Dementia UK to enhance the Academy’s learning opportunities and serving as a clinical resource to facilitate evidence-based practice.
To excel in this position, you should possess outstanding advanced communication skills and a proven track record in supporting systematic practice development.
Your expertise in dementia will be crucial, as well as your abilities in mentoring, team leadership, and building strong relationships.
